The Story of Bodegas Papiamento
Welcome to Bodegas Papiamento! Our distillery, located in a historic building that was once an ice factory, is where the heart of Aruba's spirit comes to life. Founded by the Sydow brothers and dear friend Alfonso Mora, we set out to create spirits that truly represent Aruba, and we've been fortunate to see that vision come to fruition.
Our Papiamento Rum is crafted from a blend of five distinct Caribbean rums, each bringing its own character. Like the Papiamento language blending African, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, and English our rum is a mix of cultures and influences, creating a unique taste that reflects the island's rich heritage Be We start with high-quality sugar cane molasses, which is distilled to create a rum with character, aged in oak barrels, and finished in Jerez barrels for that signature smooth, sweet finish. Our commitment to sustainability is reflected in our farm-to-table concept, where we grow our own sugar cane and herbs in our farmhouse, using them in our cocktails for a fresh and vibrant experience.

Reservation and Cancellation Policy for Bodegas Papiamento Tasting
Reservation Confirmation
Upon securing a tour reservation, our team will process your booking and dispatch a confirmation email to the address provided during the reservation process. It is imperative that you receive and retain this confirmation, as it must be presented upon arrival to gain entry to the tour.
Age Restriction:
Please be advised that all tour participants must be at least 18 years of age, in accordance with Aruba's legal drinking age.
Arrival Protocol
Guests are advised to arrive 5 to 10 minutes prior to the scheduled tour commencement to facilitate a punctual start. Tours are scheduled to begin precisely at the appointed time. Late arrivals may not be accommodated; however, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule your tour, subject to availability.
Please note that refunds will not be issued for tours missed due to tardiness.
Rescheduling
Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy:
Should you wish to reschedule your tour, please contact us no less than 24 hours prior to your scheduled tour time. We will endeavor to accommodate your request, contingent upon availability.
Cancellations Within 24 Hours: Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled tour time are non-refundable. Cancellations Prior to 24 Hours: Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance are eligible for rescheduling, subject to availability.
